If you have been in this world long enough to be a teenager now, then you must have noticed the major changes that have taken place and are taking in our world. And, if you listen to daddy and mummy and other adults talk about their days, you will be surprised at the great world of difference that there is! A lot of changes are taking place that is completely altering the way our world runs and how we do things.

Today, we talk about driverless cars, drones, surgical and manufacturing robots, artificial intelligence, the Internet, social media, etc. The market world has changed. Just in the comfort of your room and with a push of a button, you can do your shopping in any part of the world and have the goods delivered to your doorsteps in no distant time! If you asked your parents or any adult, they would tell you how difficult communicating with someone away from home was in the past. In the days of mail or post, it took days for your letter to be delivered; replies are delayed because of the involvement of physical transportation. And then along came the fax machine which allowed a very limited number of words at a time, then the analogue telephone with all the jams and disruptions on the lines! But see how easy you can communicate and send messages to anyone in any part of the world in real time today, Distance is no longer a barrier! Look at the changes that COVID-19 has brought on our planet. See the effect on our learning system at schools, even in our worship and the entire business world. I am sure you can name a few of these significant changes.

The truth is that the future is here with us! The changes that we now see are going to continue. We really have not seen anything yet! As technologies continue to improve and knowledge increases, these changes are going to be more rapid. It is important, therefore, for you to brace up for these changes so that you can find a place of relevance. You must continue to learn. Have you heard of STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Coding, Machine learning, Fintech, Digital marketing, Digital literacy, etc.? How much of them do you know? Are you learning the skills that will be required at school and the workplace tomorrow?  Now is the time to be ready.
